The Homemade Teeth Whitener

A homemade teeth whitener is very easy to make and incredibly effective when used correctly. You only need two ingredients: baking soda and hydrogen peroxide (these both can be bought for very little money at your local grocery store or pharmacy). Put a pinch of baking soda in a bowl and mix it with a few drops of hydrogen peroxide, and you have your homemade teeth whitener ready to use.

How to use your homemade teeth whitener

Dab your toothbrush into the homemade teeth whitener and begin brushing the front of your top and bottom teeth (only the teeth in the front of the mouth which need to be whitened). This procedure works best when the teeth are very dry. To dry, use a paper towel or cotton ball on the lips, gums, and teeth where the paste will be applied. Brush for two full minutes (time yourself, if you need to), spending one minute on the top teeth and one minute on the bottom, then rinse thoroughly with warm water.

The popular homemade teeth whitening remedy is wood ash. As wood ash contains potassium hydro oxide which is a very good teeth bleaching agent. The tiny crystals of wood ash reach the inner places between and behind the teeth and clean it thoroughly. Wood ash should be applied very carefully as it can damage or wear down the enamel.

Other common effective and inexpensive homemade teeth whitening methods and dental material such as medical equipment  are combining any of the ingredients like strawberries, wood ash, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. For best results apply these mixtures after brushing your teeth with tooth paste.

While applying any homemade teeth whitening remedy you must not rub or brush very hard as small particles of strawberry seeds or baking soda can corrode the surface of enamel which may look very bad on the teeth. If you notice that after applying these home remedies your teeth are getting pale or getting discolored immediately stop using the home remedies and consult your doctor.
